Expansion of Schell range:
New shower panel series offers versatile options for use
Shower panels make for quick and clean renovation work as no complicated installation methods or waterproofing are required. They ensure low installation costs and consequently are gentle on the investor's pocket.
With a new shower element in seven different designs, fittings manufacturer Schell is expanding its tried and tested "Linus" product line for commercial, public and semi-public sanitary rooms. The "Linus" shower panel, which integrates a wide range of sensible solutions, has been designed especially for refurbishing high-use shower facilities and for retrofitting shower installations without needing large structural alterations. It reliably meets the demands of different types of use due to its high quality, timeless design and good functionality.
With a softly sweeping shape and graceful aluminium surfaces the "Linus" shower panel offers elegance, hygiene and economical water usage. The reduced design supports the aesthetic look of any new shower unit, whether the focus tends more towards functional or design appeal. The robust aluminium body has a high-quality, anodized surface. Minimal dimensions of just 22.6 x 11.5 x 120 cm give plenty of room to shower in. The unit is gently profiled giving a clean, uncluttered look. The new shower element is fitted as standard with a chrome-plated, water-saving shower head. A water flow-rate of 9 l/min guarantees a pleasant showering experience. There is also an optional, matching soap tray available so the user has everything he or she needs for a shower within reach. It can be mounted on the right, curved side at any height.
The panel, with preassembled "Linus" shower fitting and preinstalled water column made of dezincification resistant brass, is available with electronic operation or self-closing function in versions for premixed water, mixed water or with thermostat and integrated hot water lock at 38°C. The thermostat cartridge has a safety interlock that immediately responds as protection against scalding should the cold water supply fail. The flow time is freely selectable for any electronic model from between 10 and 300 seconds; for self-closing fittings, the flow time is between 10 and 30 seconds. The water flow is activated by pressing the chrome-plated self-closing button or by tapping a finger against the scratchproof, break-resistant glass element that covers the electronic unit. The water stops reliably after the preset time.
Two other electronic Schell shower panels prove their worth with a previously unachieved level of cost-effectiveness by avoiding any unnecessary water or energy consumption, without the user having to make concessions to convenience. The "Linus DP-E-T ECO" model is fitted with a thermostat. The model Linus DP-E-V ECO is designed for premixed water. In addition to this, Schell has integrated an intelligent room control function for these versions: as soon as the user leaves the sensor range, the water flow automatically stops. The electronic versions are ready to take a battery compartment and for 230 V mains connection.
Schell shower panels from the "Linus" series offer an especially high degree of easy installation and servicing. Instead of a single installation rail, models have an all-over aluminium profile that simplifies both alignment and attachment. Flexible connections make it possible to connect a water supply from the wall or ceiling. Especially practical is that the front section can be opened sideways for servicing, making all technical components easy to reach; full disassembly is unnecessary.
