New sensor fitting from Schell embodies high quality:

A compact design for wash basins

Contact-free wash basin fittings make a valuable contribution to hygiene, health and economical water usage in public and commercial sanitary facilities. Such elegant models are increasingly found in private bathrooms and guest WCs where they are equally valued for their convenient use.

Valve manufacturer Schell launches a new design vocabulary: "Celis E" is the name of the attractively designed electronic wash basin fitting being shown for the first time at the ISH 2009. This compact model, designed by Vistapark, will win you over with its perfectly balanced proportions. One visual highlight is the slim draw-off outlet which is curved only on the underside and projects elegantly from the fitting body at a 90° angle while tapering towards the spray regulator. High-quality materials and contact-free operation form a perfect unit. Simple and modest without being minimalistic; simple and yet technically outstanding - the new Schell design conveys all these qualities making it aesthetically appealing for virtually any public or commercial sanitary room design, or for attractive private bathrooms and stylish guest WCs.

The "Celis E" was developed for small and medium-sized wash basins. In spite of its minimal dimensions, the new electronic fitting is sufficiently high for comfortable and hygienic hand-washing. The compact design was achieved by Schell positioning the battery compartment out of sight under the wash basin, which also makes it easy to service. The plumber just secures the battery compartment under the wash basin using the existing wash basin fastening screws. No further assembly work is needed and the conventional 9V block battery can be quickly replaced without any tools when the diode on the fitting starts to flash, indicating that a new battery is required. With average use, this would be necessary only every 2 years. "Celis E" is also available in a mainspowered version.

The robust, high-quality, chrome-plated brass body offers sufficient protection against vandalism. The "Celis E" is dependable enough for use in highly frequented areas thanks to the reliable valve technology it houses. The fitting is available in two designs for cold or pre-mixed water and for mixed (hot and cold) water. The mixed water version has a stylishly designed lever on the right side which is used to quickly adjust the water to the desired temperature. Water flows as soon as the user's hands enter the sensor area. The infrared sensor system not only has a wide detection range, it is also positioned behind a slim, rectangular sensor window, safe against vandalism. The sensor system can be programmed for two ranges. The integrated 24 h flush can be activated to prevent stagnating water.

Hygiene and convenience from contact-free operation, cost-effectiveness, impressive design and not least the outstanding price-performance ratio are all persuasive arguments for this new electronic design fitting.
